2021 Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference

UNT Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference

October 15-16, 2021

The annual Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference is the nation’s premier gathering of journalists, writers, authors and storytellers. Now in its 17th year, the 2021 Mayborn Conference will be held October 15-16 — partly live and partly virtual.

Registration for the conference is only $99.

This year’s theme? "To Your Health: Healing the Nation, Healing the News, Healing Yourself."

We’ll explore how journalism and storytelling have impacted (and been impacted by) the many events unfolding over the past year — healthcare, social justice, and how the times have affected us all. As always, the nation’s leading journalists, writers and authors will give the inside stories. On top of a full program of rich content, we’ll have our annual writing contests and plenty of networking opportunities.

Keynote speakers for this event include Major Garrett from CBS News, retired Washington Post Executive Editor Marty Baron and others who will speak to the momentous events of our time.
